Paris Bates, BS | Graduate Assistant

As a graduate assistant, Paris has her primary duties in the Chest X-Ray Medical Surveillance program at the MinER Center. She is an MPH Epidemiology candidate at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health. Paris has a strong interest in studying chronic diseases with a particular focus on prostate cancer as it relates to determining the dietary risk factors and racial disparities that are associated with the development of disease.

Paris sees her knowledge as a public health student and graduate assistant as a means to empower individuals to make informed decisions about their health and contribute to research studies in a meaningful way. Her hobbies include exercising, traveling, and volunteering at her church.
