The UIC MinER Center conducts research related to health and safety in the mining industry. Our research has focused on the epidemiology of mineral dust lung diseases and has recently added a focus on mining related injury to our portfolio. We have projects that evaluate chest imaging, physiology, and the pathology of these diseases. The MinER Center conducts research projects that are both domestic and international.
