     Kendall Burton is a graduate assistant for the Black Lung Center of Excellence and joint Masters Social Work-Public Health candidate at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is studying Health Policy and Administration, concentrating on mental health and program evaluation. Her past research has focused on program evaluation, refugee health, and mood and anxiety disorders among college students and children. Kendall presented at the 2017 UIC Minority Health Conference, on her work on accessible interventions for low-income populations with depression and anxiety. 

     Kendall received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in History, from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2016. During that period she volunteered at the Anne & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital as a group assistant and the InTouch Hotline as a paraprofessional and class supervisor. She combines her experience working with vulnerable populations, assessment, and her knowledge of health justice to maintain and develop procedures for the Black Lung Center of Excellence.
